Selection Process
Written Test (CBT Based): In Accounts Clerk cum Typist & JAA cum Typist recruitment, first of all, the computer-based examination is conducted at all district centres. The board conducts computer-based papers. The paper is worth 100 marks. Candidates with good marks on the written test are selected for further processing.
Typing Skill (Hindi/English): The candidate needs to have English and Hindi typing skills. To pass the written test, the candidates must get good marks in typing skills. To pass this test, you must practice regular typing on the computer.
Document Verification: After the written and typing tests, candidates are called for document verification. Candidates who perform well in both tests will have to get all their original documents checked.
Medical Test: After passing the three steps mentioned above, the candidates’ medical tests are conducted. After clearing all four steps, the merit list is released by the authority, and the selection of the candidates whose names appear is considered final.
Age Limit
The minimum age limit to apply for Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist is 18 to 42 years by the Indian Railway Department. Age relaxation is given by the Indian Railways to the candidates according to the category. The age of the general category candidate should be less than 42 years, the OBC category candidate should be less than 45 years, and the age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates should be up to 47 years.
The board gives further age relaxations for handicapped and physically handicapped candidates, for which you will have to check the official notification.
Eligibility Criteria
- It is mandatory to have passed the 12th class from any recognized board.
